Neon Goby

I just bought a neon goby and he has been hiding under two rocks for 4 days. he wont come out to eat. will he starve? what should i do?

My neon goby did this too. They mut be very timid little creatures. I would say eventually he'll come out when he's hungry enough. Have you seen anything bullying him?

i saw my female clownfish chase him once. she didnt bite him or nothin.

I would not worry. Once he gets used to whats in his suroundings he will be like a little shark at feeding time. For as small as they are they can hold their own except perhaps against large fish that could swallow them up.......I would not say they are timid as much as just learning who is who and what things are.......

Yeah, I do not think you will have an issue either. Was it a tank raised neon?
