Nesting?

I have 2 percs and I have noticed what I thought was a little odd behavior out of one and was wondering if it could possibly be nesting. I am not sure if they are male or female and am curious on how I could tell or if that is possible. One has been swimming in the same spot by an ornament and "she" will get real low to the rocks on the bottom. It is almost like she guards it sometimes. "She" was also swimming real close to the ornament this morning at around the same spot that is usual for her. It is a little sunk in kind of like a hole but not real deep or anything.
Just curious on what "she" might be doing.

Usually the tip off of --- is size. The female WILL ALWAYS be bigger and more aggressive. As far as actions down there :notsure: no clue. Could be nesting. Good luck
