If you want to see who your PC is communicating with at an IP level you can install the Microsoft Network Monitor from your CD, if you are running one of their Server OS products/platforms.
Otherwise, there is a OpenSource Freeware product out on the WEB.
Search for - Ethereal
If you haven't heard of a Protocol/Packet Analyzer/Packet Sniffer then you may not get much out of this, but you at least should be able to figure out the IP address.
