NEVER...when cleaning your HURRICONE Skimmer cup....which is 10" in diameter and 6" in height.....
after putting it back on...and tuning in the flow.....NEVER TURN and answer the phone.....FLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL....so glad I turned quickly.....the guy on the phone though I was nuts when I was yelling OMG the skimmer is overflowing....LOL....but oh well......PHEW....got it all cleaned up
better overflow with clean water then the sludge this thing pulls out

reminds me of a mistake i made, dont think airline tubing will do much as a siphon, leave it there all night, 20+ gallons on the floor and leaked down into the laundry room by the water heater.

I know the feeling. We did this, woke up at 5am to use the potty and played slip and slide across the tile floor in the living room. NOT GOOD! Bruised a$$ for a week!
