new 125, how many fish can i have?..also ..can i have an eel or Sting ray.

I'm currently running a 125 gallon tank more tall then long...anyways its almost done cycling....i was wondering what types of eels would i be able to have in my tank?...also ..if not eels...what about some string rays?...
also im debating what all i should get...
how many fish an i have in a 125?
my refuguim (sp) is 35 gallons
so i have a total water holding of 160 gallons
does that affect how many fish i can have?

eels will be fine in a 125. Not sure about rays. Maybe a small one and you'll have to have a fine sandy bottom with a large open area for the ray to bury itself.

Your refugium will increase the biological filter...but you best have a back-up power supply. If your power goes out you will lose the refugium unless the pumps are working. So if you push your bioload based on external filtration your boat could sink if you have a prolonged power outage with no back-up power.

I think you should cross out the stingrays but you can definatly have a eel.

rays need a 180 min. but you could get a good amount of fish though
