Well back in April when I setup my 55gal for saltwater a buddy said saltwater tanks are like boats you always want a bigger one. I was like yeah right a 55 is fine for me..... a few months later I purchased a 90gal bow front tank and was happy.... then on Friday my LFS was selling some 150gal setups at a KILLER price and I couldn't pass it up. I got it all setup Friday night and LOVE how it looks.
There is 100lbs of live rock and 160lbs of live sand in there now. I will be adding another 75lbs of live rock in the next couple weeks as well as some more fish.
Not as cool as some of the other tanks but I figured I'd share.

Sump setup. I have a protein skimmer on the way and need to buy more bio-balls.

Thanks
Alain

Looks like a good start...I assume you used water and rock from the 55g to start the 150g.
It desn't look like it's stable...but pictures don't tell very well. Make sure your rocks are very stable, a rock slide may kill and critters and break your tank.

Thanks! Yeap I used 90gal of water from my prior setup as well as 80lbs of live sand, 100lbs of live rock and all the bio-balls. So far everything is doing well. The reamining 70gal was RO water premixed with salt from my LFS.
The rock is pretty stable. I pushed on it and moved it around and it didn't budge. The back of my tank is black so it looks to be unstable but has good support.

I had an emperor in my 90gal bow front and he seemed fine in there. I don't think you'll have any issues in a 125. The only reason I say had is because I took him back to store after 3 weeks cause he was picking on my other fish.

What are the dims of your 125? My 135 is 72" 18 1/2" 24"? Which is 5" shorter than the 150..
Nice tank by the way.

Thanks. Yeap I plan on adding another 75lbs or so. There is about 100lbs in there now.
Fish in there now:
-Dog Face Puffer
-Lion Fish
-2 clowns
-Fox Face
-Niger Trigger
-Blue Hippo Tang
-Snow Flake Eel
-Damsel
I want to add a few more fish. This is what I am thinking
-Blue Face Angel
-Tusk
-Yellow Tang
-Naso Tang
maybe a few small school type fish.
That should do it.
