Hey Ledzep, i was wondering what goby is that its not a yellow watchman goby is it... cuz i was thinking of getting one of those... my stocking list would eventually be
2- False Perculas
1- Yellow Goby
1- Cherub
Possibly one more fish depending on the load on the system thinking maybe a gamma

Nice start. I have 20long tanks too. you will find they are much nicer than the 10 you had. More surface gas exchange. That was the first reef size I ever had. For a nano it is easy to work with and shallow enough to not need intense lighting. Enjoy.

hey Flricordia i know your good with corals, i have had some in my 10 gallon moved them to the 20 and they are doing great they are int eh pic above but they are still on the frag that i bought them from, do i need to fragg them onto my LR to have them actually spread and grow on the rock or can i leave the frag on top of the rock and will they natural seed and spread

If you are talking about the zoanthids they will spread on thier own. I would suggest that you wedge them in a little either in between rocks or a crevasse so that the outer polyps can touch the rock and this will help them to stread faster. Unless you are familiar with fragging it would probably be best to not try that, but there again, you won't learn till you do. And if you do decide to frag and supoerglue them around the tank search the forums and you will find lots of good info by the members here about zoanthid fragging. Most of the people here know how to frag and would be more than glad to give helpful advise.

Very nice!! I knew you would upgrade. It looks much better. You will be able to keep some of the other fish that you wanted now as well.

That sounds like an excellent idea! You really wanted a pair anyway. I am glad that you will be able to keep one now!

My pH has risen to 8.4-8.8 not sure its hard to tell with the API because they dont have a color for 8.6 it just jumps from 8.4 to 8.8, i was wondering how the pH might rise..., also how i may lower them other than the recommended water changes ( am currently doing this, i do a 20% once a week) and a daily top off... i am using Instant Ocean salt and i ahve read that they are known to buffer at a high pH but not sure, if anyone can offer some advice i would gladly appreciate it
PS i did get two new clowns who have been in the tank for less than a week, they are eating fine and look great will post pics when i can get them uploaded... :)

Hey Veeraj87,
I just got your message on my thread, I am really excited to see your progess. I do not have any corals YET but my situation is a little different. I am going to have to move the tank in 6 weeks so I refuse to buy anything know I will move it out of my dorm, into my gf's house, then back to my apartment next august.
Are you gonna use your old 10 as a QT for fish? I have a similar tank (8 i think) and thats what I want to do
GOOD LUCK ill be keeping an eye on your set up

nice man, i have mine in my apartment, im in school as well... hopefully it all works out ... i had my 10 gallon in my room before and now the 20 is out in our living room its the divider between the kitchen and the living room its on the counter its pretty cool, i like the length i just need to resolve the pH issues before i can continue, theres an LFS that sells corals for $5 a frag, inclds a variety its pretty awesome, ijust dont have the lighting yet... im still not sure if i am going to use the 10 gallon as a QT but i should i know that i should but i dont know yet!?!?!

Hmmm.... not sure why your PH would be that high.
Have you repeated it to be sure?
I tried to do a search here on the forums to help you out, but apparently, there are soooo many posts regarding PH issues that it didn't help me out any.
Maybe post a separate thread in the "Reef" or even "New Hobbyists" section and pose this question there so that more experienced people can see it and hopefully help you out.

Your new tank is looking great, BTW!~
