My 29 cracked. I just got a 28 bow today. I have 130W pc in my tank. will this be enough to run a "nice" nano tank? I already have a true perc and a pistol shrimp with a watchman wheeler goby. Can i add another fish? I wanted another goby or a flame hawk. Im new to nanos so i was just wondering if this would be ok. Any help is appreciated.

p.s. I have a DSB and about 30 pounds of LR.
I want to run my PS but unfortunately my tank lights canopy wont fit it in there. (it is a standard berlin airlift with an airstone) should i make a small refugium? i have an emperor 440 as well. Should i just run a wet dry filter as well. i know this is jumbled but im just thinking of all the money im going to have to spend. :(

I think you could add another fish but I'd avoid the flame hawk as they tend to go after shrimp (please someone correct me on that as I am nto 100% sure).....
I run a 20 with DSB and LR and a HOB filter - no skimmer but I would prefer to have one .... if you have space for a sump/refugium I would set-up the sump/fug ASAP and get it all plumbed and working and get your skimemr going ....
I'd also wait a month or so before adding another fish to give hte tank water and setup time to settle after moving all of yoru stuff from the 29 to the 28.
Good Luck!

i agree about the flam hawk. I wasnt sure if he would go after a pistol shrimp though. thanx OA.

maybe someone else with a Flame Hawk will come in - you could also ask in the Reef/Aggressive forum ....
I like the 28 Bow front - do you mind me asking - where you picked it up and how much??

Like every other fish some flame hawks will and some wont eat ur shrimp. But most likely they will. Infact i saw i pic. on here of a cleaner shrimp cleaning a flame hawk , it was awsome!! I dont think it would eat a pistol becuase they r more lobsters than shrimp. U can talk to me on-line(milkmanf12)

Thought I'd throw in my 0.02 since I have had a flame hawk in my system for 5 months now. He is very passive, and just perches with personality. He has not bothered any inverts, hermits, snails, emeralds, featherworms, etc. But I do know that even when you put a larger shrimp in, eventually he will attack it, so don't risk it. So decide, shrimp or hawkfish, both are awesome choices!

How about a six line wrasse? I have one in my 28 gal bowfront along with a false perc and rusty angel. The six line is very colorful and active and it's reef safe.

hmm i hear they eat inverts some times. Maybe it will be looked into, i dont really want to overstock. Here is a pic of the tank and how much room i actually have with the DSB and all.

I already have 2 fish as i stated. I have an awesome clean up crew, i just need more bristle worms. I plan on putting some zooanthids in there along with frogspawn and various shrooms, some xenia would be nice but with that size tank i dont want it to sting anything else with my water current. Oh well, I will just decide when the time comes.
Thanks drakken

You have enough room now but if you're going to load it up with more inverts then you might want to hold off on another fish.
Here's a pic of my 28 bowfront...

I have the 65 watt Custom Sealife Smartlight with a Moonlite added. The only inverts I have are a hammer (or bubble) LPS and some shrooms. The shrooms were added after this pic was taken.
