I think im going to put chemi pure elite, purigen and filter floss in my media box. My tanks only beem cycling 5 days but only thing in media box is stock sponge and ceramic balls. What do you guys think?
I have 30lbs of LR in DT.

im guessing you started on the 9 th? no matter just be patient, keep checking each day and you will see things change.

During the cycle, levels can stay the same for days. This is just because different kinds of bacteria need to become plentiful and balance out. Leave it for now, check every few days. Nitrates this high is a bit odd, but deal with that after the cycle is over. Good luck!

don't rush it - the nitrates are deadly to inverts - so you need to wait until you get those levels down to at least 20. Do a water change and continue to monitor a bit longer - water change will remove a lot of the nitrates - then you'll probably see the diatom blooms start (brown algae) Are you planning on LR ? If you don't populate the tank you will be able to cure the rock in it - simply monitor the params again as if cycling.

I aint gona order CUC until all levels are normal. Im just happy thet are finally droping. Probally gona wait on WC, i wana just be patient and let tank do its thing naturally. Once all levels are 0 but nitrates then ill do a 20% WC
