Francis - you might also start thinking about what kind of anemone you want and researching the lighting you want in the tank. Plus an anemone with hard corals is not always the best idea. I'd look at some softies.
I am currently getting ready to set-up a 29 gallon tank too so post as you have more questions because I think we will be running into some of hte same issues @ the same time.
Suggestions:
1. Read the Conscientious Marine Aquarist
2. Be picky about your LR and get it all in the tank @ roughly the same time and use it to start your cycle
3. do not use damsels to cycle the tank as they are a huge pain to get out of the tank
4. Look into a HOB protien skimmer - I really liek hte CPR bak-pak, but due to financial constraints I will be using a Prism Pro that I got in a trade.
5. Look into a HOB filter - I like HOB filters for smaller tanks as a place to run carbon.
6. See if you can find southdown play sand @ a local home depot (or yardright or newcastle). It is cheaper than live sand and just as good (live rock will seed it).
7. Plan out the occupants of your tank before you set-up your tank!!
Good luck!
