NEW 36 Gal Bow Front Reef

Ok so Santa was good to me this year, I originally wanted to convert my 29 gal std FW tank in my living room over to SW. But I realized that a 36 bow front is the same length as a 29 so I changed my wish list to include a tank. Right now I have a template ready so I can cut a platform out for the top of my stand that I used for my 29. It will be the shape of the 36 and I plan on laying it on top of the 29 stand, fastening it down and leveling it.
I got the new Nova Extreme Sundial HO T5 lights 4x24 watts, and the D&D typhoon protein skimmer.
Nothing too impressive yet but heres where I am so far.

Wow PD got a new tank. Time to subscribe to this thread
. Are you keeping the 29 and making this tank too or moving over the 29 into here for whatever reason? Either way I cant wait to see how this one turns out.
PS How long are those lights made for? I think my 24 might be near the same size and I wouldnt be opposed to picking up some T5s like that to replace my PCs. I see Current-Usa makes a 24" model but that results in overall wattage less than what I have now. Think it would be ok?

Nope I am getting rid of the 29 all togther, by that I mean store it somewhere. I am sure in the future when my tanks get bigger it will do nicley as a refugeum.
The new Nova sundials come in 24", 30"... both use 24" bulbs, 36' and 48". You have PC's at what wattage? In either case the T5's HO are better more efficient and more intense. Your PC's may have more wattage but the T5s are stronger and these have individual reflectors which makes this whole set up even better. BTW how many watts do you have on your tank? I thought you had a 24 gal cube. The 24" set up may work but if I remember correctly the cube tank is 20" long so that will leave you with 2" either side hanging over.

Well I havent posted here in a while mainly because I havent had the time to do anything with my new tank. As of this past week I finished the shelf that I made to accomodate the shape of the new tank so I can use my old stand. I also leveled my tank in my basment and leak tested it.
Here are the pics...OH yea I moved the other pics in my Photobucket album so I will just repost them here too.
This is the Skimmer I am going to use its a D&D Typhoon

This is the tank on my 30gal stand shelf not made yet.

Here are the new pics of the shelf, and tank with water in it...

I am going to put my RBTA in it, and a B&W Saddle back clown, thats a definate. I am gearing towards unique so not necessarily uncommon just a bit different. I have soooo many ideas but am always open for suggestions, nothing pinned down yet.
I was thinking a pygmy angel, and even though I liked my white tail pygmy I really like the flame back pygmy. I love the Potters but wayyy too difficult to keep.
I am also thinging about a strawberry pseudochromis which is the purple dottyback.. awesome coloring.
A wrasse perhaps of some kind.. I like the McCosker's Flasher Wrasse.
A shrimp goby and pistol shrimp combo.
And a neon goby.. I think they are very cool.
I want to stay around 4 fish, but a small shrimp goby and neon goby IMO wont equate to a whole lot because they stay very small. Especially if I go with the Yashia Shrimp Goby which is one of my favorites. And a Japanese or red banded pistol shrimp.

The pictures from the first post are the first 2 pictures in the 4th post, I moved them in my photobucket acct and they became inactive. So I posted them again when I updated this post today.
