Hey all i just started my second nano tank about a month and a half ago. It is the 5 gallon eclipse corner tank. I am loving it so far. I don't have a lot done to it yet, but here is what i have and the plans for the tank.
Have:
probably about 1-2 inch deep sandbed in most places
6 pounds of LR
! Oscellaris Clown Fish
4 Blue leg hermit crabs.
Plans:
Retrofit either 1 13 watt 50/50 or two 9 Watt bulbs one actinic the other just a 6500K bulb. What do you guys think i should do on that.
I am going to be having a lot of zoos and leathers for the corals.
I will post some pics as soon as i get a digital camera. :happyfish

speaking from experience - a clown in a 5 gallon requires a LOT of water changes or heavey skimming to keep up with.
Had one in my 5.5 and did bi-weekly water changes and my nitrates where stil lthrough the roof. GOt rid of the clown when I did water change after water change ina 2 week period and my ammonia and trites and trates would sink for a day then rise back up.
Removed the clown - got three sexy shrimp and my levels have all been pegged at zero.
I'm thinking a clown goby or another small goby would be really cool addition - but I'd never do a clown - osc or perc or skunk or any clown in a 5 gallon.
I'm not trying to
but I lost a bubble coral that I had rescued and loved because of the water quality problems.

I already do weekly water changes to it, so i am goign to see how it does for a while... if it doesn't work out i will bring it back and try something else. Thanks for the input.
Are the sexy shrimp active, that is my main goal to have an active tank.
thanks for the input
