New 75g in-wall Reef

Here is the beginning of my 75g in-wall aquarium. I will be doing a reef setup this time around. The rock work is not where it will stay. The rock is curing. I will use the rock to cycle my tank. I ordered the rock off of the internet and got it for $3.00/lb delivered to my door. I don't think that is too bad!!:joy:
I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do...enjoy. Comments are welcome.:D

Sweet lookin' set-up! One day I'd like to develop a "in-wall" display. I have a wall in my house that would easily accomodate a 220 fish only system...but not until my 11 yr old son moves out of his bedroom(his room will be the 220's filtration room).
Looks like some very nice LR...good coraline...looks to be partially if not fully cured. I like establishing a initial cycle with LR...best of luck and keep us posted as it progresses.

Nice looking rock for $3/LB. I would love an in-wall, even better a 2-way with a viewing/work room.

My ammonia has started to decline already. My nitrites are off the charts. I hope this trend continues and my tank will be cycled in about three weeks with the help of the live rock. BTW, I had no foul smell whatsoever!! I couldn't believe how good this LR really is!!

let's see a shot of the tank from a perspective in the middle of the room. you might want to use the device that hangs the maxijets from the tank lip, i'm tired of suctions cups giving away and causing havoc. setup should be excellent. lots of options with a 75.

I need your e-mail address. I can't post websites here.

I checked the parameters tonight and here they are:
Ph = 8.2
Ammonia = 0.0
Nitrites = off scale
Nitrates = 0.0
Calcium = 410 (a little low)
Any suggestions for lowering nitrites besides a water change? I believe you must wait them out, but I am not 100% sure.

:happyfish Ya, just wait it out. Sounds like your about 3 weeks in? Remember Patience. Your setup looks SWEET! I like 2 way room divider tanks too. If I ever get my own house, I wanna do that. Could you pls email me the website you got the lr from? my email is alison19782004@yahoo.com Thanks, ali

My nitrites have gone to zero along with all other readings. I'll post more pics soon. I will be getting a clean up crew this weekend to stop the diatom bloom I am starting to get.
Keep a reefin' :happyfish
