We traded in our pink skunk clowns for this little guy today (sorry about the water spots on the tank!)

Thanks! Are they really that mean? I have heard mixed reviews of them.
NM Reef, I had a mated pair of percs once...they were excellent fish and fun to watch together. Do you have an anemone?

They are the meanest clowns there is. It helps if they are the last fish introduced. What other fish do you have in your tank?

It's going to be the last fish. It's really, really little right now. Maybe an inch long. It's in the reef tank with my blue hippo, yellow tang and xmas wrasse. I can't imagine it's more of a jerk than my yellow tang...he was a mean little bugger when I first got him.
Jeez, he's reef safe, isn't he???? I guess I should've checked, but I assumed that clowns were reef safe...

I had a dream last night that she died and oh my gosh was I ever heart broken. I wouldn't know what do do without her. I love to fight with her. Miss B does have some CHOPPERS!! Our old one cold draw blood. Man, she was mean, we gave her to someone that had a huge tank and BIGGER fish

Nope ... not currently...but I am considering either a colorful carpet or a rose BTA...if I decide on either it'll be about 4-6 months down the road. I'm not real sure that I'll even attempt one. But the percs should be able to find a place to call their own considering I currently have about 50 corals that will soon be transfered into the new display and plans for many more additions over the next several months.

My skunks took to my corals a little too enthusiastically. I had to trade them in. I'm hoping my maroon takes to my anemone instead!
I love how my little maroon wiggles around the tank. I can't stop watching him because he's really cute Everyone: your maroons are very nice! Smoothounds, mine's like yours: a little brighter red (you can't tell from the pic because I used a flash)

I absolutly love mine. I little while back I had one that was a little darker unfortinatly he has gone to fishy heaven but I really like the brighter one better. He added allot of color to the tank. Keep us posted on how he adjusts.

Nice pic. nice color.I have one that loves my condy that was about 1' around, but I moved him to the corner of tank (I thought was away from power head) he got sucked up half way in power head ,now hes doing well at 4" around and maroon clown still loves him

Melody, your maroon clown sounds halarious lol. Right now i have 2 false percs and if one ever died i'd sell the other to the LFS and get a Maroon. All in good time i supose
