I went to one of the lfs cause they had a sale on lr, anyway they were out of lr and brought this guy home instead, 9" golden puffer, he's awsome!
Just had to share.
I do have a question about care, anything I need to do different than a porky?

he may be a bit different than a porc but most likely hardier i reccomend daily feedings with a variety of meaty foods alternate food type by the day small amounts dont gorge him .i would and do rinse all foods in fw before feeding this will kill of any worms or parestites fresh seafood harbors(tape worms ect can be passed on even if the food was frozen) then rinse well and soak in garlic extreme and selcon (this will boost food nutrients). try to stay away from very fatty foods like salmon ect stick to sw species only this will ensure better nutrition without worry of fatty liver disease.try to keep him in a stress free enviroment triggers and other more agressive species can cause undue and unwanted stress.they dont like to compete for food.if you have smaller fish with him that may like his diet feed them first .then feed your puffer if you feed him first you could find yourself with smaller fish being bit by accident during a feeding frenzy(my foxface had her lower jaw removed this way).i think that should cover it for you.good luck
