Depends on the sp. of clam. Yours look like T. crocea which burrow in live rock. Theres a great book called Giant Clams thats a great reference for clams. HTH

unfortunately, i dont know... my tang died 2 days ago. my other fishes doesnt show any signs of ick. so i am really confuse:notsure: :notsure:

I think oysters make pearls...a grain of sand gets stufck in there mouth so they coat it with the 'pearl" coating.

thanks. already moved... just left him there so i can get a good shot of it. been waiting for a tear drop clam for a long time now, lfs never stock them. :mad:
