Got these 2 fellows yesterday in from Los Angelos.
After a 3 hour drip and a 4 minute freshwater dip with Meth. Blue, into the display they went. The Sohal Tang quickly let both know who is in charge in the tank, it wasn't pretty, but it had to be done....He has not even glanced at either since....Not a threat to him I suppose
Flame Angel....I left the lights off the remainder of the day because my Coral Beauty was beating him up pretty bad. The Flame is huge and a bruiser, nearly 4 inches and fat. I got home from work today and turned the lights on and the 2 are on even ground already, the Flame is a touch larger....I don't anticipate any long term issues as they are just feeling each other out.

The King Angel (Passer)....What an awesome fish this little guy is.
At just over 2 inches long he is afraid of nobody....If the Emperor or Asfur chase him, he runs, but he comes right back out. This guy will fun to watch grow up. I have wanted one of these since I lived in Charleston SC, and at a LFS they had an 8 inch King in a large display tank with an 8 inch Clown Trigger and the King/Passer used to bully the CT on a regular basis.

Here he is, eating and exploring from the minute he hit the tank.

Georgeous fish Kirk. I think the Passer is the perfect size; its really cool watching big Angels go from juvi to adult; it really gives a sense of accomplishment. Looks like your Emperor is probably starting to show some yellow too.

Kirk the flame looks UNREAL! Completely redish orange...
The Passer looks sweet too! when they are that small they are bullet proof. I think 2" is the best size to add that guy as he will soon rule the roost.

Yeah, the color of the flame was incredible, even in the acclimation bucket. Can the Passer take the roost away from the Sohal? IMO, they'll do fine together; after they come they come to an "understanding".

Chris you should at least consider a trio of Flame Angels in your tank, there is no fish that adds more vibrant color than a Flame I think....Ok, may an adult Clarion.

IMO....I would really doubt any Angel successfully challenging a larger Sohal and winning. Oddly Steve, the only fish I have ever seen even try to stand up to my Sohal was my Sargassum Trigger
About the last fish I would expect, I have seen him do it a few times, not successfully, but he tries to scuffle with him.

Nice. FOWLR tanks like this are going to cause me to get a dehumifier and add another large tank to the house.

Awesome additions!! That flame is very unique. Btw I think I'm going to pull the trigger on that duss from Hawaii if he still has some left.

Thanks Crimzy, I know you wanted me to get an Eel, but I still want to do an Eel tank eventually.

Figured you couldn't hold out on the Duss too long...have you email Rob? Does he still have them?

Dang you suck, you're going to make me buy another huge fowlr setup. This reef stuff just isn't doing it for me like those angels do. BTW your king is awesome!

Come on back to the dark side Rueben, Angels and puffers and Triggers are more fun than corals.
