I so want to get a toadstool, but I can't seem to find one that's not on the giganto side...they're all HUGE!! I really love those though. I would like to find some different colored 'shrooms too, but where I live everything is pretty much sold in browns...
Great pics. Is your 20gal hard to maintain? I've been thinking of starting another tank, and I've been toying with perhaps starting a 20-25gal, but I'm afraid I won't be able to keep the water levels on an even keel. What's your opinion on this?

i always wanted a toadstool..... but to tell you the truth, i would want to have to look into my tank every few weeks and see my centerpiece shedding. Not too pretty when they do that, but georgious otherwise! nice finds!

Thanks to both you you guys. Yeah, i think htis thing just shed a couple days before I bought it... I think that this 20 long has been as close to SIMPLE as I coudl have hoped for thus far. i had much mroe issues with my 38 (converted to 10, converted to 20) lol. I have no trouble maintaining healthy parameters and my fish are doing great. I only have two in there right now, an Ocellaris clown, and a firefish. I have had the firefish fro prolly 6 months, and the clown for around 5. They are great fish, all of the corals in my tank have been added in the last week or so, but I havent had too many problems thus far. I like it a lot, I think it's just about the perfect size tank for me, I am upgrading my lights soon too. I'll post a full tank shot as soon as my camera batteries charge, lol.
I do have one ? however, do the toadstills usually kind of fall over when shedding? Mine is kind of flopped over on his side right now, lol.

did you just turn off the lights? or turn them on? They will retract and flop during the night
but yes, when they start to shed they will flop over or fold up or contract.

it is hard to tell.... cause they pretty much like pretty sickly when they are either just waking up if you jsut turned the lights on or if they are shedding... or well.... if they are just sickly...... I would check your levels, and if that pic is a while after the lights have been on and your levels are all good, then it probably is.
but another reason why i dont want a shedding toadstool, i would be afraid it is dieing every time it is. lol

the aqua scaping is nice..... i like all the holes.... however, iMO, and for the benifit of your system, some more live rock would be nice. Are those all diatoms on the rocks? all the brown? a good cleanup crew will take care of those as well as keep yoru levels in order. Some nice turbo or astrea snails and some hermits and such.
