New aggression for new fish in tank

I currently have a 90 gallon tank with a clown trigger, powder blue tang, and a few other fish. The clown trigger is usually as calm as can be. Anyways I just bought a 4" blueface angel, and it added it into the tank. Within minutes of adding the angel, the clown trigger and tang started chasing it and trying to bite it. I actually placed the trigger and tang into the DT. How can I make this work in the main tank? Is aggression always going to be a problem? I'm going to leave the tang and trigger in the DT for a while and rearrange the main tank.

Welcome to the boards!!!! Do you mean that you added them to the Qt? Keep them in there for a week or two. Re-arrange the rockwork in the display before you add them back in.

welcome to the boards, unfortunately your aggression problem may come from the fact that all of the fish you listed will get too large for a 90. Depending on their size, they may have claimed the entire tank as their territory, and will not tolerate any new additions.
Good luck

Your problem is only going to get worse, as clown triggers are known to be very aggresive. As it matures it will only become worse as it will try to expand its teritory .

Probably so. Clown triggers can be very docile for years, then suddenly go "postal"; like pit-bulls. Not all of them and not all the time; but, they certainly are one of the most aggressive fish available----too bad, they sure are great fish to look at and, once past the juvi stage, very easy to keep---if they have enough room. IMO, the smaller the tank, the more likely they'll get nasty.

That's the typical scenario. Peaceful, then, "snap" and the trigger turns into a the aggressive fish that his genes dictate.
