i have a question I bought a BTA a couple days ago. I did my research on keeping anemones but i have just been seeing the problems after i bought it. For example. Powerheads. I have a maxijet with a hydor flo the rotateing head that uses te water flow to circulate the water. Is this safe for the anemone? My biggest fears is the anemone causeing a tank crash from an ammonia spike. The anemone seems to have found a happy spot but i just dont want to come home to a tragity, I am the worrying type. The powerhead seems safe, i have never seen a the korila powerhead which i have read is bad. Anyone have any thoughts am i worrying to much about it.
thanks

Long as you have some type of foam or prefilter on intake of the power head you will be fine . BTAs tend to move once and a while so make sure you have the intake covered .

i hacr tge plastic grate that came with the power head, i guess that would be considered a pre filter, the openings are less han a mm. Also if an anemone dies how long do yiu have t
to remove it before the ammonia is unbareable to fish. I dont plan on this happening of course but i just lile to be knowledgeable about that stuff.

As soon as you see it start to have this melting look and/or the tentacles are not sticky any more . Remove it ASAP .

You will want to create some sort of barrier or put foam around the powerhead, this will have to be cleaned constantly though but powerheads in general aren't safe.
