New angel fish eating everything!?!

I was looking into getting a Emporer Angel for my 150. I changed my mind after hearing about them nipping at soft corals. I heard that dwarf angels rarely do that, so I purchased 2 Flame Angels instead. I knew I was taking a small chance on them hassling my corals. I put them in on Saturday and already they have gone through my entire stock!?! I am very disappointed! Is this pretty much the deal? or are some corals that they wont bother? Who owns a flame that has noticed certain corals they wont bother? They took care of a veriety of mushrooms and pollups the only thing that seems to have survived are a few stony's.... Please help I went from full and lush to bare rocks

i believe all angels and butterflys eat corals, u shouldve went wit a coral buety if u wanted an agel, i have one and it never went to my corals

50/50 chance a dwarf angle will nip at corals, guess you got REALLY unlucky. Im pretty sure that least likely coral angels will nip at are SPS, but im not 100% sure.

It's really hit or miss. Some people have no problems and others do. Some Angels are fine for a few months and then start nipping at the corals later on. There's really no way to tell unless you buy one...but there's always a risk.

i dont think there are any guarantees. some people's angel may eat star polyps for example while others may not even touch them.

any angel will go after button polyps .. oh no doubt.
colt corals as well... but id say everything else they more than likely wont touch...

I had a coral beauty in my old 55 with button polyps and a colt coral, never touched them, or anything else. Every dwarf angel is different, one might never touch a coral, one might eat um all.

ohhh i forgot... i have a big ass rock of green star polyps... and used to have lil bits of diff button polyps spread out all over my tank hoping theyd spread... eibli hasnever touched the big green star polyp rock... but eraticated the other button polyps i had .. go figure...

Well I got a Rusty angel and keyhole angel and thay are good to me!!! I have all kinds of corals and thay don't nip at my corals

my friend has a 155 bow and he has a flame angel and he has a hammer coral, plate, maze brain, mushrooms, a big zoo. he added the flame about a month ago and he has not had any problems.
