I'M CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF SETTING UP A NEW 46 GALLON AQAURIUM. RIGHT NOW I PLAN ON AN FISH ONLY AQUARIUM WITH ABOUT 25 OR SO POUNDS OF LIVE ROCK. I WAS KINDA OF THINKING ABOUT PUTTING IN WET/DRY FILTRATION SYSTEM. I'M OPEN TO ANY ADVICE THAT ANYBODY HAS TO OFFER. EITHER FOR OR AGAINST. I'M BRAND NEW IN THE SALTWATER AQUARIUM FIELD.

I do not know much about the wet/dry filt, but for FWLR, as you intend to have, if you use sand, you could get away with just a skimmer if you go with the 50 lbs. Go very slow. A great read is by Flenner, The Concious Marine Aquarist. Have fun and take your time. Use the search above to reseach.
