Sounds like coraline algae. In which case is perfectly normal and highly aesthetically pleasing once fully grown in on your rocks and/or glass. Although, 2 weeks is an awful short period for a tank to cycle and start producing coraline algae. Did you "boost" your tanks cycle with another persons live sand, filter media etc? A little bit more information would be helpful to fulfill your inquiry.

Is the algae hard or is it more of a slime like consistency? If it's slimy, then it is likely cyano bacteria, which occurs commonly in new tanks during the cycle.

I used Live rock that had been in someone elses established tank to start mine along with wet bought live sand from the LFS. So I did give it a head start(boost) cycling only took a little over a week. Now all is good. This algae looks good. I also hit it with a dose of Calcium 4 days ago.
