i just got a biocube 29g with alot of live rock (too much lr). For like 180 dollars. Well the rocks has alot of purple coralline on it but also a lot of dirty brown hair looking like things. I put all the rock in the tank and let the tank run without lights hoping for the hair algae to go away. Am i doing the right thing? if not please tell me what i should do.
i have upload the pic of the rocks...some1 please help me!

Looks good right now. Still a bit cloudy. Did you put fresh carbon in the tank? That will help clean up the cloudiness. Do you have a test kit? If the water levels test out good, you could also add a small clean-up crew to help with the algae as well.

i took the picture right when i put everything thats why the water looks so cloudy but its clear now. Does hermit crabs hurt your corals because im planning on making this tank a reef tank.

Yes take the rock out and scrub it with a toothbrush. Then rinse it off in some saltwater.
