New Blue Spotted Jaw Fish

Here are some pictures of my newest member of my fish family. He is a very good eater and has quickly learned when he sees me coming, time to beg. He has made his home under my flower pot coral, all which are in my 29g QT. Nothing like spoiling my new arrivals. Also in with him is a flame hawk fish. I like my QT's to be like home to them. Sorry for the algae on the glass, haven't scrapped it off yet.

Oh I've had him for about 9 days now.

Thanks, they are a very beautiful fish. Hopefully he will do well for me, they say they can be hard to get acclimated, but when you do get a good one then your ok. So time will tell. I found him online for $89, normally they are 130.00 to 150.00.
Coraljunky, how is yours doing? I think you just got one also.

I've had it for 17 days and counting. Everything is GREAT. Feeding has never been a problem and it seems to be getting more comfortable. This is my second BSJ. The key is feeding it daily.

I've actually been trying to feed it twice a day. Some sites say they do better that way. He sure eats a lot and when ever I walk by thinks I should feed him more.

Got mine on line, found him on sale for 89.00, I think they say they should be in at least a 30g, and no they wont eat corals.
So far so good, when he sees me coming he begs at the glass. He sure is a pig when I comes to eating. I have his dinner soaking in garlic and vitamins as I type. The hawk fish is doing great also, they get along pretty well to, thankfully.

Yes, they like a deeper sand bed, my QT tank only has about 2 inches, but he has made a nice home under the flower pot coral.
