Has anyone heard of a book called 'Marine Aquarium Secrets'? I found a website on it and it sounded like it would be helpful but I wanted to know if anyone had read it to find out if it really is helpful before I buy it.

I have not read it but you should check out The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert Fenner. Its a really good but and will make a nice addition to your salt water library.
