New Brain

I got a new red brain yesterday.It is about 4" around. That sucker can eat! Ifed it a piece of krill yesterday,which it swallowed,and today two pieces of brine pellets fell on it and that thing maneuvered itsself around and sucked them in too! I've never seen anything so stiff appearing move so much. Is this unusual?

That is perfectly normal. Mine will eat as much as you give it. It really is amazing to see how quickly it can change its shape. Have fun watching it.

Get some tweezers and feed it at night. They can grow enourmous and then close up around the food. They do have tentacles as im sure you've seen. If he's hungry youll see them come out more. Nursing mine back to its former glory i fed it daily until it could sustain itself on the zooxanthellae it grew. I think it also feeds off of the phytoplankton i dose with 3 times a week because i feed him maybe 2 times a month if not just once a month....
