new BTA hid under live rock

Is it normal for a BTA to go under a rock for a couple of days after being released into the tank? I added it friday afternoon, and it was sitting on the rock for a day or so and then went around to the bottom of it.. Should I be concerned at all or should I just leave it be? I assume if it gets "hungry" for light it will move, am I correct?

All depends.
What is your current lighting..type? watts? There could be a reason there.
Also common for a new BTA to wander about the tank for a few weeks for it to find the proper water movment, rock placement, temp, and lighting.
You will notice him sit for a few days, move and do it all again while it looks for the proper place for itself.
Let him sit under the rock for a few days if its comfortable, he is probably gaining strength to move again while acclimating to your tank conditions.
If he does get on top of the rocks again in several days then you might want to try to spot feed him some mysis shrimp or other meaty food.

not to worry...if the tank params are all good then pretty soon it will come out to bask in the light....dont bother too much about feeding it right now if its inaccessible....
