New BTA in the tank--How's it look?

Here's a picture of the BTA that I received yesterday. He's quadrupled in size, but is still rather transparent. I assume this will improve with feeding and light? I had to crop the picture, so it isn't the best--it cut off both ends of him!

It is bleached, but otherwise it is a good specimine. With proper lighting and 2-3 feedings per week it should recover and grow a good population of zooxanthellae.

I agree that it looks bleached, but not hopeless. Strong lighting and regular feedings can bring it back.

Also, is it typical for an anemone to arrive from shipping that way? It was a long, 24 hour journey in the dark. He looked a lot worse when I first opened him up!

If you don't seen any improvement in about 3 months then I'd worry. Be aware of how old your bulbs are, you may want to get a fresh set.

The entire fixture is brand new, because I only just upgraded my lighting about three weeks ago.
He ate a chopped piece of a frozen marine preparation that I feed the starfish. Gobbled it right up, from what I could tell.
Thanks for the information!

Because I know you have the best intentions, I won't be offended by the question.
Not only is it sort of a common sense thing, it says on the package "Thaw before using!" I just mentioned it was a frozen preparation to reference what kind of product I was using.
How about that shipping thing--do they bleach when they ship? Also, he came in water like a fish. I know I've seen some mention that anemones are shipped in "little or no water."
Thanks again.
P.S. Sorry for being a smart a##. It's a problem I have.
