New BTA - on the move?

We just got a new bta yesterday and it has been on the move since it was put in our tank. Is it normal to move around so much and what is it looking for? We had a carpet for a long time, but just kept losing too many fish to it, so we traded it for a bta, but not used to the anemone on the move. This morning we woke up and it was stuck in one of our intake valves(it lost a couple of tentacles and some are twisted), but after we removed it and set it down on a rock, it looks good and again is moving everywhere. Any tips? Thanks

That is normal for it to move around for a little while untill it finds a spot it likes. What kind of lights do you have? And what are you're water parameters?

I put my GBTA on my rock closest to my T5 lights and it moved to the side of this rock in the shade. These anemones do what they want to do despite our efforts to help them. I have sponges on all my intakes because this anemone does like to move.

Well, definitely not what we are used too. Our carpet never moved. We have T5 lights and params are good. The GBTA looks good has lots of bubbles on its tips, color is good. Just don't really like the idea of a wandering anenome. Thanks
