Just would like to know how close you are to the tank when taking this picture?
Also, are you using your zoom or just being close gives you the whole tank?
What type of background lights are on?
I have a Sony that I just love, using natural light in the background for any picture i know gives really good color quality but when photographing tanks it can be a little bit more tricky. I would like to know how you all get those crisp clear pics.

First step: Use a tripod!
I never had one before, but bought one with the camera. Using the tripod and setting the timer to 2 seconds or so makes a huge difference. I set the tripod up so the whole tank is within view at the widest zoom. The tank is only 29 gallons, so its not that big.
As for lights, I turn the flash off and turn all the lights off in the room. I'm not sure if your camera has an exposure setting, but I usually set mine to -2/3.
Thanks!
