i wil be gettinga digital camera in about a month is there any out there i should stay AWAY FROM going to spend around 1,000 to 1,500 any help would be great...thanks

With cameras you get what you pay for. I really like the cannon power shots. Ive seen very nice quality pics with those cameras.

I have a Canon Powershot S60 and I think I get decent pics out of it. I can't really think of any to stay away from but Canon and Nikon seem to be popular brands.
