New Camera!

I just got a Canon Powershot S1 IS for my 21st birthday so I'll show you some of the pics I've taken thus far. Tell me what you think, I'm really trying to get better at photography so constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated.

Where did you get that great looking starfish?I spent some time just above Seattle once...awesome area.It was a record rain time though...I think I got to see Mt.Rainier only twice due to the weather.

Promisetbg- I got the starfish at the lfs. They don't get them in all that often so I jumped on it. We'll see how he does. Seems to be the most active in early morning.
Clarkii- So far I can't say enought good things about the camera. The biggest thing I noticed from my earlier point and shoot was the processor speed. Its quite fast and you can actually take 7pictures back to back(like a slr) before the processor starts to slow down. One other thing, TRIPOD, with 10x zoom it gets pretty tough to keep your hands still enough, even with Image Stabilization on.

I just have a SUPER OLD mavica. It doesnt do too bad but nothing like the new slr's
