New clam!!!!!!!

First clam. Don''t know what the name is, just know it's pretty... Seems a bit skiddish with the fish around keeps closing up alot...

nice clam crocea most likely... yeah they have light receptor on there mantles so when they see a shawdow they close up after a while they will get used to it and realize no ones tryin to eat them so they wont be so skidish in the future

thats a sign of a healthy clam also if it reacts to light change.

It's quick to react. Looks great our LFS got in several fron 2 inches up to 8 inches. All kinds of colors. My first clam so I went small. Maybe another if this one does well. Everything else in the tank does well so...

remember if its under 3" you are gonna have to make sure it gets fed. Get some DT's

Measure out a 4.5... I will still monitor the feding to be sure.

clams under 3 inches should be fed i never knew that what should i be feeding and how?????

Now I am sad...For some reason my clam detached from the rock he was on...and took a dive into the sand a few days ago...Was like that all day..I got home and righted him back on the rock work...He was 'Blowing"?? the rock off under him I thought to re-attach...He didnt make it..

Put mine right on the sand bed and it settled down into it a little and hasn't moved.
