i wouldnt put any clam in an 8 gallon personally. they require water stability which isnt always easy to maintain in a smaller system. also with the amount of light they require you would probably cause a lot of heat problems.
nice find. at first i was looking at the larger one and thought i was going crazy cuz it wasnt gold. how big is it?

I'd be pissed if I paid 50 bucks and they sent me a baby clam. but maybe when it get's bigger you will be able to tell the difference.
