new clam

We gotten a new clam (first), so with just PC light we up the hours and now Im getting green algae on rocks and some green bubble algae like on the back wall and overflow box. Any suggestions?

how many hours r we talking about? and what clam do u hv?

You may need different lights to keep a clam.

wat r ur water levels?
wats the tank size?
do u have an emeralds?
can u remove the bubble algae from the overflow?
wat fish do u have?
any tangs?

Even if you ran the light 24/7, it still wouldn't be enough to keep a Tridacna Clam alive
