New Clown, New fungus :(

I just got a pair of perculas 2 days ago and now after coming home from school the female looks like it has some kind of fungus. I have had many confrontations with fungus in the freshwater hobby and rarely do they turn out recovering. This sucks. Just got them at a high price too.
The female is breathing pretty rapidly, about twice per second. And she looks to have strands of fungus on her body right behind her head. Then another little millimeter size patch right behind her dorsal fin. She still swims and stuff.
I haven't checked water params since nothing seemed to come up since I set up the tank over two months ago. My LFS tested the water after cycling and everything was perfect. Those two clowns are the only fish in there and nothing else (shrimp, hermits, snails, etc.) have had any problems.
Can anybody help me? Plz?

Thanks for the reply. I think it is brookylnella. I called my LFS and they said it is probably that so I brought it back and they are going to keep it and treat it until I pick it back up of tuesday. I don't have a Q-tank I am going to go to vacation over the weekend. They also tested the water and found all params to be perfect, except salanity. They said it is about 1.021. My hydrometer is off by .004. I always thought my salanity was at 1.025.
The fish seemed alright after I placed her in the bag. I guess I caught the illness early.

Well, went back today to check out my salanity again, and my clown was dead.
She was so cool too.
They gave me another clown for free though. This one was very active and healthy, so I hope it lives. I still wish I had the first one though.

It sounds like it was brooklynella. A deadly disease if not treated quickly.
The best advise I can give you is to get a QT and never ever get new fish unless you are going to have time to attend to them for at least a month.

After some more thought, I don't think it was brooklynella. It didn't have the same symptoms as what I read on the web. It sounds like some common fungus. The clown they gave me has had a tiny bit for 5 days now. Brook would have killed her already. I think the one that died died because of the bad acclimation process that my LFS did. He told me that once they released it into the tank it started doing circles and stuff. It wasn't like that a few minutes before.
