I found yet another hitchhiker, this is the 3rd crab from about 17lbs of live rock I purchased from the same store. You think he's reef safe? I haven't noticed anything eaten that shouldn't be, but any of you think he's a danger?
Whitish-blue eyed crabs, hairy crabs, and crabs with pointy black tips on their pinchers are not reef safe. From this picture, I can see the hair and the eyes, so if I were you, try to remove him when you can. Gorilla crabs and such like to munch on corals at night time, so make sure you keep an eye on everything.

+1 do you have a fuge? you could toss him in there untill you have a better idea of what he is. if not i personally would just use my best judgement and get rid of him if i thought he would be problematic. losing your favorite coral is not worth one little crab.
