so cree says they made a led that is putting out 208 lumins per watt, that 2X the output of T5s. Too bad it's still in the lab and not in production.

from what I read about their last product line we can expect to see it on the market in about 6 months, but they might hurry on this one seeing as it gives them a huge edge on the competition.

LEDs are evolving so fast. The Cree XR-Es used to be the "big thing" but are almost completely eclipsed by the XP-G within the year that the DIY LED phase has been going on.
