New Ell to the family

Hello all. I picked up a new eel today. It's a small Gym. Millaris. I wanted the bright yellow variation with the black spots. I finally found one and got him. He's hanging out with the other two eels, a snowflake and Meletremus with no problem. In fact he follows the snowflake wherever it goes. Pictures don't do this guy justice. He's much more yellow than the picture shows. I only took a couple of quick pics. I'll try to get some better ones later. Regards, Tim

WOW!!!! That is beautiful!!!! I love your tank. It has all of the coolest fish.
Did you ever get rid of the lion and the other thing that I don't know how to spell? lol

Yes the Lion is in a 300 gallon right now and he's very happy. Thankfully someone I know took him and has a great tank for him. As for the Rhinopias I'm on the fence to get rid of him but there are few people interested in him. I don't know. I have many other fish with the eels in this particular tank. I'm in the middle of doing a water change so I'll take some pics tonight. The common name for the eel is a golden tail. They stay pretty small about 24" and don't get that thick and tend to be pretty mild mannered. They do come in a almost pure gold color and they can come from brazil and can cost quite a bit of money. I forget who it is but someone has one that frequents these boards and itd pure gold and absolutely stunning, hopefully he'll see this thread and post a pic. I got this guy for under hundred. Regards, Tim

Here's some updated pics. This is its first feeding straight from a feeding stick. So much for them being difficult to feed. Regards, Tim

Hello all. Yes that was a silverside on a skewer that I feed the eels with. i have taken some updated pics of the new eel and he is growing quick. His colors are really starting to pop now that I have been feeding him enriched foods. I added a few other pics of his tank mates. Let me know what you think? Thanks Tim
