So who got the new phone? I know there are some mac fanboys on here. Year of the Nick... I'm digging the new OS. I can finally listen to pandora and surf facebook, at the same time...
But who buys the excuse, that there is no drop in signal. It is just an error by the masterful Apple programmers. And better yet the mistake is that it over reads the signal and the lower signal is actually the accurate one?

I am not liking the OS4 on my 3G. It is so slow. I am going to downgrade to the old version then buy the new phone. Look great.

You caught me red handed. I was one of the idiots that waited outside at 5am to be of the first to own the new iPhone 4. And let me tell you, this thing is awesome. Most notably my exchange push-like support through gmail AND the fact that it will go up to two days on a single charge with normal use. Pretty awesome!

I see Apple is now saying the 'bar problem' has been a software bug all along. They say the number of bars shown for signal strength have been incorrect as far back as the Gen 2 phones. They are pushing a software fix that will include having the 4th and 5th bars taller than the rest. Still doesn't explain the "death grip" to me.
Anyone check-out the new Sprint Evo? A buddy got one, and he said he'd take it over a new Iphone any day. He can find the same Droid apps that he had on his older IPHone, and he says the 4G network screams. The phone has a 'tethering' option that you can use it for your wireless network on your laptop. He said the speed is comparable to his wireless at home. Not sure how Sprint coverage is, but I'm thinking about checking it out before upgrading my phone. I think Sprint has a "30-day Try It Before You Buy It" promotion, so if you can find one (they say there's a longer waiting list for this phone than the IPhone), you may want to give it a spin.

Yeah I love that excuse. Oops what a convenient mistake. Sprint does there network a bit weird. They lease out a lot of their towers. Which is no big deal for voice services. But it makes their data services a bit more spotty. So their areas aren't gonna be as large as AT&T or verizon. But they have a better coverage area than the larger regional carriers like tmobile and altel.
