I have a new little feather duster growing ...the first one in the tank :)...and I was wondering if our damsels might make a little snack of it? Is the little guy safe?? :)

Hi, we have many little dusters growing and, have two large ones that we purchased and, I have never seen a damsel go after them . Other fish Yes, but never anything else . I think it would be fine...cya ;)

Gosh, I have them everywere, rinsed off the coconut carbon in my 404 fluval there in there, changed the poly fiber in 303 fluval, there in there, I think the one I like the most is on the bottom of our brain, it pops out just enough so you can see the little feathers, What I really enjoy watching is our large dusters we have, the way they come out , sit there then spin and they do this over and over. cya :p

I also have a bunch of little feather dusters all over. I see it as a sign that your tank is doing well. I have 2 damsels in the my tank in with 2 large dusters and all of the little ones on the rocks. And they dont bother them at all. Good luck. :p

My feather dusters actually spawned. I have literally thousdands of them all over the tank walls, no bigger than the size of a pinhead. Little something attached to the glass and a head rotating in the current. As for the rock, I can even count them. Both the brown and white hawaiian types and christmas tree types too.
Any experience with moving a duster attached to the rock? I have one thats beautiful white and purple, but its 2 inch stalk is attached to a crack of the rock in the back of the tank. Could I safely remove it and hope it to re-attach to the rock in the front?
ANYWAY, my damsel occasionasly eats the teeny tiny ones on the glass, but leaves the dime size ones alone.
