I am looking for a better way to set up my filtration in the back...
i dont want to go with any type of mini refugem.
as of now i have in chamber 1 : filter cartridge, filterfloss
2: one unit of chemi pure elite then topped off with filter floss
3: stock blue sponge near pump
any other suggestions. i read somewhere that they are tossing the filter cartridges.. i would like to do the same and save more money.
i still have much diatoms in the tank. want something to get rid of silicates which i think the chemi pure is doing. just not quick enough for me.
adding more live rock soon also..
any suggestions?

add ceriths snails and they will eat the diatom.
if you dont want to do a mini Refugium (dont know why not
it really helps) then add filter floss, chemipure elite, purigen, and a few bioballs i guess.
