new fish acting crazy

We just got out first fish in our 29 gal biocube. WE got a black ocellaris, cute little guy probably only about 1.25 inches long. Seems like he is doing ok so far, but he just keeps doing laps around the top of the tank. He is literally just going in a perfect square at the top, stopping every once in a while to fight with his reflection. Anyone ever had a fish do this? I kinda wish he would chill out and just swim normal, although it is funny when he swims by the front and hes got a little wake going behind him like a motor boat. any opinions on whats going on?

that's perfectly normal. When i got my unicorn tang it was a PSYCHO!!! the first night all it would do is swim a rectangle towards the top of the tank n stop at the middle as if some invisible wall was there. Just wait out a day or two, and it should be just fine. My tang stopped after about a day and a half. Now it swims slowly around the tank n is very peaceful n calm n i can hand feed it. New fish are usually a bit freaked out n act this way.
