Greetings to all. I need a few suggestions on possible treatment
I have a 135 reef tank it has lots of live rock and 3in of sand Ichecked water today after adding about 35 g of new. I recently added a foxface a bangai and a royal gamma. I noticed my powder blue had a moderate case of ich. I tried to get him out to qt. I had to remove about 70% of my rock to get him out. I have him in qt with Marin Oomed for treatment. His spots came off in one day I had temp 82 I now notice my blue hippo tang has a few spots on his body. I dont see any on the fins . I see him eating lots of algae and I put garlic extreme in the water along with parafix. I have seen a few spots on my fish befor and they have always gone away without probs. I know that I stressed out the entire tank with the new fish rock removal-replace and tank cleaning. My temp is about 78 now but its been usualy 80. I almost always have o ammonia o nitrates and o nitrites ph of 8.4 Today i had .25 ammonia and a touch of nitrite. any suggestions. I saw a earlier post that said if your fish has good immune system it can fight ich off . I believe thats true if its a mild case. Any suggestions?? thanx to all that post. Lawrence

I suggest you not add medications or chemicals to your reef tank.
That medication is not appropriate for ich treatment. You can try real garlic in the food, mincing it and perserving the juices to be soaked up by the food. Don't add garlic to the water, that is useless. Using bottled garlic is not really good either.
Think about setting up a QT and using it for new fish.
