Im afraid the powerhead will smash him or something...i turned it off so it wont suck him up...eh.. i hope hes ok
anyone have a fish hide there?

Let him hide where he is for now. It's good that you turned off the power-head, though. But let him stay there for a little while.

I have had them go there and even worse, behind my heater. They have all been ok in a few days. Give it a few days to a week and it should be use to your tank. Lights out and let him acclimate, for the night.

Give it time to adjust. Let me put it this way, when we moved into our house the cats hid under the bed fro 3 days before ever coming out to look around. Then they were so nervous any little sound would send them back under the bed. Your fish is doing the same thing.

I introduced a BC Basslet into my tank about a week and a half ago, he is really shy and mostly stays hidden in the rocks and peeks out once in a while...Just last night, he actually swam farther away from "his" rock than he has since he went in the tank..He's finally starting to show himself a little more, which is very cool, he's gorgeous...

Took mine 2 weeks to come from behind the rocks, now he is out most of the day. A fish can't get sucked up a power head if it has a screen on it, My clown sleeps against a PH. I would turn it back on if you have corals.
