NEW FISH!!! - Sohal Tang & Splendid Dottyback

I finally got by Sohal Tang after being quarantined by my LFS. After determining he was healthy and eating, I finally got him. While picking him up, there was a Splendid Dottyback, got him to.
Below are the picks, also included one of my Foxface, as he wasn't too happy with the camera flashes...

Thanks for the comments.
The dottyback was only $50, the Sohal was much more, very hard to get fish.
My tank is a 175gallon with a 105gallon refugium

went to a aquaculture lab out in Orono Maine, and must of saw close to 200 splendid dottybacks. about 100 in a tank..
it was redic.
their colors when fully grown are beautiful.
globaldesign- do you have a sixline in the tank with him? i want one of these but i have tried a purple pseudo and it killed it..

Hope you enjoy the Sohal, I got my first about 2 months ago, he is nasty and growing fast
It took him about 2 hours to come in and beat up my Sunset Wrasse and take over the tank. I think he has grown over an inch in the 2 months and fattened up considerably. Wonderful, beautiful fish, hardy fish....Enjoy

What else do you have in there?

I have a sixline, but it is in my nano, not the big tank.
I must agree, sohals are aggressive, but my fish are handling him quite well. He is only chasing at times, at least he isn't nipping fins or killing. At least not YET!!!

- Blue Tang
- Sohal Tang

- Blue Throat Trigger
- Copperband Butterfly
- Pajama Cardinals
- bicolor and blue/green chromis
- Yellow watchman Goby
- drucala goby
- dragon goby
- Flame Angel
- Potter's Angel
