hey there folks,
been reading these forums for about a week now, lots of informative material. My employer here in vegas recently decided to add a salt water tank in the office. Its actually about 10 feet behind my cubical...hehe
Its a pretty good size one from what they say, about 250 gallons. It measures around 8x2x2 ft and made out of 1/2in acrylic. Its built flushed against a ponywall with an outer steel frame as the support. All of which sits on top of a steel beam in the floor here at the warehouse in the 2nd floor. A huge wood cabinet is going to be built around the tank for all the filtration stuff and supplies, plus with useable drawers and cabinet space for the office. The pony wall actually separates the other half of the office, onto which a small office was built around it, so our payables person got a whole side of the tank to herself..lucky
I guess we setup some kind of deal here with the lfs guy and hes gonna maintain it. The employees are responsible for buying the fish, I guess which is subjective to approval by everyone, some guy wants a shark, what a clown..
I dont really know anything about saltwater fish, but the hobby definitely looks awesome. I'll see if I can get the MIS dude to host some pics of the setup for you guys to check it out.
