New frag tank - buffer "precip"?

over the last few days I have been setting up a dedicated frag tank that is bare bottom. During the course of this my ALK readings were constantly high so I added Supper buffer (as per directions) and after 36-48 hours my alk and PH were finally in the perfect target range, but it has lead to a thin layer of what I assume is buffer agent on the floor of the tank. Should this be removed before putting in the newly cut frags or should it be left? Or dose it really not matter

It seems pretty stable on the floor but I have a small oscillating power head that every so often a small chunk of the layer breaks away and gets stirred into suspension and am concerned that it could harm the Zoa's and Rics that are headed into the tank......
Thanks for any advice.

I would think that if you are even concerned about it then it has to go. If the water is stable, chances are this is not contributing to the stability. More than likely it is buffer that didn't dissolve. If it actually persipitated the tank wouldn't be stable right now. Siphon it out and see if the parameters change, I would think it won't.
Get rid of it before the corals go in to irritate them later.
