new frag tank set up

heres the before pic of my 30 gal long qt.

here's my frag rack

heres the rack in the tank

i'm waiting for my new light fixture to arrive tomorrow. it's an aquaticincs tx5 5x39w t-5. my bulbs are scheduled to arrive on monday. i will also be using a modded maxijet1200 for about 80x turnover. sps here i come.......

sorry im a little new to the sw hobby, but what exactly is a (frag tank)?
and whats it for?

2 powerheads might be better so the frags get a balanced random flow if you look at my sps most have better growth from the direction of stronger flow

Well a frag tank is what it says it is. A tank to hold corals that are going to be fragged and the frags. If you don't know what a frag is, then it is when you cut a coral and the two or however many pieces grow into two or more individual corals from that one coral. Does that make sense?
Nice tank, by the way. What kind of corals are you going to frag?

Looks good. I am setting up my frag tank next week when I get home. We are going to have to do some trades in a few months when were both swimming in coral frags.

nice find there. i paid $322 for the fixture, $24 for the legs, and $95 including shipping for the bulbs which i won't get until monday
